Background; the history of Aotearoa Abroad:
Marion Chase-Seymour is one of the most seasoned immigration advisors in New Zealand.
With a decade of experience helping migrants successfully make their move a new life, Marion is accustomed to procuring all types of visa’s but specializes in Skilled Migrant, Business/investment and family/partnership categories.
“At Aotearoa Abroad our focus is to provide an efficient, cost effective, compassionate service to those who wish to come to New Zealand. We work hard to ensure we leave no stone unturned in seeking a successful visa pathway for each applicant. Sometimes the road to visa procurement is a little more complicated than others but we believe that all people can attain their goals and we are committed to doing our part in clearing the pathway to a new life for those people that have New Zealand in their sights”.
Her journey as an immigration advisor began out of quest to help a friend’s family to navigate the immigration process, join their family and achieve their dream. Watching others struggle to achieve a better life bothered Marion and it called to her deep compassion for others. As more people sought her assistance, she spent more time immersed in the ever changing rules and regulations of immigration. Aotearoa Abroad Immigration Consultants was a natural progression from those early days and within a couple of years the business was formalized. Marion was one of the first immigration advisors to undertake licensure when this was instituted by the government in 2008.
Demand for services grew as word of mouth spread of the help people had received and the success rate of Marion’s visa applications.
It is now a thriving immigration consultancy firm helping people from around the world make their move to New Zealand.
Beyond a visa application
Success in both visa application and stress free settlement will often share a common denominator; an offer of employment. Because the visa approval process is based on a point system, a genuine job offer often makes the difference in a person being eligible for a visa….or not. The ability to arrive and commence work certainly alleviates a great deal of stress for the new migrant. However, it is very difficult for any individual to secure their own position from outside of New Zealand. In order to make a job offer, employers want to have some assurances that the applicant either has a visa or is eligible for a visa and that the applicant will be able to start work within a specific timeframe.
For these reasons we have developed a comprehensive, customized job search and placement assistance service. This service provides:
• Career appraisal
• Customized Job Search and Placement
• Unique profile option
Helping clients with much more than their visa application has always been an integral part of the assistance offered at Aotearoa Abroad. After all, there is so much more to migration than a visa. Settlement in a new home and culture also has its challenges and stresses. All people rely heavily on knowledge of their local and expanded communities in making decisions, acquiring services and integrating with their respective community. As a migrant, you become disconnected from this vital aspect of life. Migrants are most vulnerable in the early phase of their new lives in a new country. This is the time when they most need guidance and support; the time when they need clarification and introductions.
At Aotearoa Abroad we offer a full range of settlement services. We can assist our clients with everything including but certainly not limited to:
• Airport collection
• Banking services
• Home rentals and purchase
• Business acquisition
• School enrollments
• Vehicle acquisition
